The OfferUp x Public Storage Business Giveaway Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is co-sponsored by OfferUp, Inc. ("Sponsor"), 10900 NE 8th Street, Suite 1300, Bellevue, WA 98004, and Public Storage Operating Company ("Co-Sponsor"), 2811 Internet Boulevard, Frisco, Texas 75034.
PRIZE: The Sweepstakes will award one (1) winner the following prize package:
- One (1) year pre-paid subscription of OfferUp for Business (Enhanced Tier), valued at approximately $2,988 USD, provided by Sponsor
- A cash stipend of $500 USD, provided by Sponsor
- A cash stipend of $1,500 USD, provided by Co-Sponsor
Total approximate retail value ("ARV") of the prize package is $4,988 USD. Prize award requires compliance with the terms and conditions contained in these Official Rules.
ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older, or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older, at the time of entry, as confirmed by a valid government-issued photo identification. Employees of Sponsor, members of their family and members of Sponsor’s Business Account Program or Verified Dealer are not eligible for the Sweepstakes. Entrants who have an existing OfferUp account must have an account that is active and in good standing at the time of entry and at the time of prize award. Accounts that have been suspended or deactivated for violations of OfferUp's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines are ineligible.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Entries for the Sweepstakes may only be submitted during the period beginning on July 31, 2026 at 12:00pm PT and ending on August 9, 2026 at 11:59pm PT (the “Promotion Period“).
HOW TO ENTER: No purchase is necessary to enter or win the Sweepstakes. During the Promotion Period, visit the official giveaway post on OfferUp's Instagram account (@offerup) and complete all of the following steps: (1) follow both @offerup and @publicstorage on Instagram; (2) like the official giveaway post; and (3) tag at least one (1) other Instagram user in the comments of the official giveaway post. Each comment containing one (1) tagged user constitutes one (1) entry. Multiple comments are permitted, with each eligible comment counting as a separate entry. Each tagged user per comment must be a different person; multiple tags of the same user within a single comment will count as only one (1) entry for that comment. Tagging yourself does not constitute a valid entry. All entries must be made on a public Instagram account to be eligible. Entries submitted after the close of the Promotion Period will not be accepted. Entries are the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY: No purchase is necessary to enter or win the Sweepstakes. To enter without using Instagram, send an email to sweepstakes@offerup.com containing your first name, last name, email address, street address, city, state, zip code, and daytime phone number, with the subject line: "OFFERUP X PUBLIC STORAGE GIVEAWAY." Entrants may submit only one (1) entry via the Alternative Method of Entry. Multiple email submissions from the same person will be disqualified. All parts of an entry must be filled out correctly; incomplete or illegible entries are void. Entries are the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Information submitted will be used in accordance with OfferUp's Privacy Policy.
DISCLAIMER: Sponsor and Co-Sponsor assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation, theft, destruction or alteration of, or unauthorized access to, entries. If for any reason this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to any causes beyond the control of Sponsor or Co-Sponsor, including without limitation any circumstances that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor and Co-Sponsor reserve the right at their sole discretion, to terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
SELECTION OF WINNER: One winner will be selected from all eligible registered entrants in a random drawing from valid entries received on Monday, August 10th, 2026. Odds of winning depend upon the number of valid entries received.
The winner will be notified via direct message from OfferUp's verified Instagram account (@offerup) within one (1) day of the close of the Promotion Period. If the winner does not claim the prize at the notification, the winner will forfeit the prize and a new drawing will be conducted with an alternate winner selected. This process will continue until a winner claims the prize.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that Sponsor, Co-Sponsor, and their respective affiliates, distributors, partners, consultants, agents, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents will have no liability for, and the winner shall hold all such parties harmless against damage, loss or injury that may arise in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from, the winner’s acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prizes, participating in any prize-related activity, or participation in the Sweepstakes. All entrants have an equal chance of winning regardless of method of entry.
The winner agrees to provide to Sponsor any required tax form, including Form W-9, or other information reasonably requested by OfferUp relating to the award of the prize. Sponsor will furnish to the Internal Revenue Service any required tax reporting forms relating to the award of the prize, including Form 1099-MISC.
If the selected winner cannot be contacted within forty-eight (48) hours of the first notification attempt, or if the winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, the winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Sponsor's decisions are final and binding in all matters related to this Sweepstakes.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes and fees associated with receipt of the prize. Cash stipends will be consolidated and disbursed as a single lump sum payment of $2,000 USD via ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfer; winner must provide valid U.S. bank account information to receive cash components of the prize. The start date of the OfferUp for Business Enhanced Tier subscription will be coordinated between the winner and OfferUp following prize verification and account setup. No prize substitution, cash substitution, assignment, or transfer of the prize is permitted, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if it deems necessary. All prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, expressed or implied. Receipt and continued enjoyment of the prize is contingent upon the winner maintaining an OfferUp account in good standing for the duration of the prize term. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the prize award, without substitution or compensation, if the winner's account is suspended or deactivated for violations of OfferUp's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines during the prize period.
VIOLATIONS OF RULES: Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it reasonably suspects or believes to be tampering with the entry process or the award mechanism by any other means or to be acting in violation of these rules. Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with Sweepstakes in any way will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
LIMITATION ON LIABILITY: EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT SPONSOR, CO-SPONSOR, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, DISTRIBUTORS, PARTNERS, CONSULTANTS, AGENTS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES, THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION OR USE OF THE PRIZE OR PARTICIPATING IN ANY PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY. EACH ENTRANT FURTHER AGREES THAT SPONSOR, CO-SPONSOR, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, DISTRIBUTORS, PARTNERS, CONSULTANTS, AGENTS, AND EMPLOYEES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR TYPOGRAPHICAL OR OTHER ERRORS IN THE OFFER OR ADMINISTRATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ERRORS IN THE OFFICIAL RULES, THE SELECTION AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER, OR THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THESE RULES FOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSES WITHOUT MATERIALLY AFFECTING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SWEEPSTAKES WITHOUT ENTRANT NOTIFICATION.
DISPUTES/CHOICE OF LAW: Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the state or federal courts situated in Seattle, Washington; 2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, including without limitation lost profits, may be awarded (collectively, “Special Damages“), and (4) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased. The laws of the State of Washington, without reference to Washington’s choice of law rules, governs the Sweepstakes and all aspects related thereto.
CONSENT TO USE OF INFORMATION: Each entrant specifically acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor, Co-Sponsor, and their respective affiliates, distributors, partners, consultants, agents, advertising and promotional agencies, and suppliers may utilize information obtained from the entrant, including but not limited to, to contact him or her and/or to offer their products or services or for other promotional purposes. By submitting an entry, each entrant consents to the use of his or her name and likeness for promotional purposes in connection with this Sweepstakes, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Entrants are providing information to Sponsor and Co-Sponsor only, and not to Instagram or Meta. WINNERS LIST: To obtain the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to OfferUp, Inc., 10900 NE 8th Street, Suite 1300, Bellevue, WA 98004 within thirty (30) days of the close of the Promotion Period.
MISCELLANEOUS: The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws. Void where prohibited. Sponsor shall be entitled to interpret these rules as needed, including but not limited to rules regarding entries, selection of winner, deadlines, restrictions on the prize, and eligibility, and all of its decisions are final. Sweepstakes entrants agree to be bound by all interpretations of the rules by Sponsor and all decisions of Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes.
