Integrating your Shopify Store with OfferUp allows you to reach more local buyers and manage your products with ease. With the OfferUp Shopify app, you can list and manage your Shopify products directly on OfferUp.

Install the App
You can install the OfferUp Shopify app directly from the app listing. The setup process typically takes a few minutes and gives you full control over which products you sync to OfferUp.
To install the OfferUp app:
- Visit https://apps.shopify.com/offerup.
- On the OfferUp app page, click Install to begin setup.
- When prompted, review permissions for OfferUp to:
- View personal data (store owner).
- View and edit store data (products).
- Click Install to continue.
- Wait while the app completes setup. You'll see a Setting up your OfferUp App screen during this process.
Note
Shopify automatically includes all of your products in the OfferUp Sales Channel. To give you control over which products are listed, OfferUp will remove them by default so you can choose which items to sync. This step may take a few minutes depending on the size of your store.
Connect Your OfferUp Account
After installing the OfferUp Shopify app, you’ll need to connect it to your OfferUp Business account to start syncing products.
To connect your account:
- Click Connect OfferUp Account.
- Log in using your OfferUp Business account. (If you’re already logged in, you’ll be redirected automatically.)
- Click Connect account.
Once connected, your Shopify store will be linked to your OfferUp Business account, and you’re ready to start syncing products.
Sync Products
After connecting your OfferUp account, you can start selecting which Shopify products to list on OfferUp. OfferUp will appear in Shopify as a Sales Channel.
- In Shopify Admin, open the product you’d like to sync.
- In the Publishing section, click the sliders icon
.
- Toggle On OfferUp > click Done > Save.
- From the Products list, select the products you want to sync.
- Click Include in sales channels > check OfferUp > click Include products.
Keep in Mind:
- Each synced product counts toward your OfferUp monthly post limit.
- OfferUp syncs the following product fields: title, description, images, and price.
- Make sure each product:
- Has at least one image.
- Has a quantity of one or more.
- Is in Active status.
Manage Synced Products
Once your products are synced, any changes you make in Shopify will automatically update on OfferUp in real time. For example, if you update the product’s price or title in Shopify, the change will appear on OfferUp automatically.
Important Guidelines:
- Do not edit synced products directly on OfferUp (e.g., title, price, sold status) as this can cause sync issues.
- If a Shopify product is deleted, archived, or its quantity reaches 0, it will be archived on OfferUp.
- When you reactivate a product in Shopify (change status back to Active or increase quantity from 0 to 1 or more), it will automatically unarchive on OfferUp. This will not count against your monthly post limit.
Checkout Links
Each synced product on OfferUp will display a checkout link.
When a buyer clicks the link, they are taken to your website with the product already in their cart. They can then complete the purchase using your configured Shopify checkout options.
Orders completed this way appear in your Orders tab in Shopify, with the source listed as “OfferUp.”
FAQs
Yes. New Shopify products are included in the OfferUp Sales Channel by default. You can exclude them by deselecting the OfferUp Sales Channel when creating a product.
