These guidelines explain what you can and cannot include in your OfferUp Motors listings. For Verified Auto Dealer account holders, follow these guidelines to create your listings.

OfferUp may remove any listings that do not adhere to these guidelines.
Photos
- Include 1 to 12 clear, well-lit, and accurate photos of the actual vehicle. If using a Dealer Management System (DMS), you can include up to 30 photos.
- Photos should only show the vehicle being sold, not multiple vehicles.
- Photos must depict the actual vehicle for sale, not just advertisements or promotions.
- Photos may contain text, banners, stickers, and pricing info, as long as the vehicles are the main focus.
- Do not use "Coming Soon" placeholder images.
- Do not use photos taken from other websites or photos that infringe on others' intellectual property.
Title
- Use a clear and accurate title that describes your vehicle.
- Do not include website URLs or physical addresses in the title.
Description
- Provide accurate details about your vehicle in the description.
- You may include your dealership's contact information and physical address in the description.
- You may include financing, custom pricing, and down payment information here if the full price is listed in the Price field.
- Do not solicit risky payment methods like wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or gift cards.
Category
- Post your vehicle in the correct category.
- Do not select an inaccurate category to avoid listing fees.
Condition
- Select the condition that most accurately reflects your vehicle's true state.
Price
- List the full price of the vehicle.
- Do not include financing, custom pricing, and down payment information here; this belongs in the Description field.
- Exceptions to this rule may apply for Verified Dealers who are signed up for special financing.
- The price should be reasonable and not significantly higher or lower than the standard market value.
Location
- The vehicle's location should accurately reflect where it is within the United States.
Additional restrictions
No duplicate listings: Avoid creating more than one listing for the exact same vehicle.
Single category only: Do not post the same vehicle in more than one category. Each vehicle should only appear in a single, relevant category.
Maintaining a safe marketplace
Our team works hard to ensure a safe marketplace by:
- Removing listings and taking action on accounts that violate our policies.
- Cooperating with law enforcement investigations.
- Continuously updating our platform to enhance trust and safety.
Non-compliance
OfferUp may remove listings that violate our guidelines, policies, or Terms of Service. We may also block or terminate user accounts at our discretion.
